Salmon Fishing on Niagara Falls (Niagara falls hotel guides)
January 25, 2008 on 11:02 pm | In Niagara Falls Camping | No CommentsNiagara Falls couldn’t be a much better spectacle. Easily rivaling the Victoria for its sheer scope and power, the Niagara Falls provides around 4.4 gigawatts of electricity enough to provide for a small to medium sized city and a scenic spectacle to those that view its natural beauty.
Niagara Falls is one of the longest standing natural wonders of the world, absolutely. A view of the Horseshoe Falls would definitely silence the critics. However, a recent favorite that kept on drawing visitors to this place may not be the Niagara Falls with its entire splendor. And the candidate is salmon fishing on Niagara.
Niagara falls festival of lights – Touring Niagara Falls & Surrounding Area
January 24, 2008 on 11:48 pm | In Niagara Falls Coupons | No CommentsNiagara Falls has certainly grown over the last thirty years. When I was a kid, I remember that it was Niagara Falls itself as the only real attraction here. This natural wonder of the world consists of two main falls; the semi-circular shaped Horseshoe Falls where daredevils in buckets have thrown themselves off and the smaller American Falls to the left of it. The Floral Clock, Maid of the Mist boat rides that take visitors up close to the falls were already there as well as the cable gondola over the whirlpool just minutes up north but that was about it. The Minolta Tower was also there but the newer Skylon Tower had not been built yet. Niagara Falls was still known as a honeymooner’s destination with hotels that had heart shaped jacuzzis and other romantic features. Today, the Maid of the Mist and other original attractions are still there but the city of Niagara Falls has exploded with growth in hotels and tourist attractions including a large casino added in recent years.
Niagara Falls, Canada – Here We Come! (Niagara falls in the night)
January 23, 2008 on 11:50 pm | In Niagara Falls History | No CommentsHave you ever been to Niagara Falls? I have many times with my family. Growing up in Pennsylvania, I lived two hours away by car. My parents could not afford expensive vacations; consequently, we all piled into our car and headed for Niagara Falls. A trip to Niagara Falls was always an adventure.
Niagara falls location – Niagara Falls — Is It Worth The Trip?
January 23, 2008 on 3:18 am | In Niagara Falls Camping | No CommentsFor years Niagara Falls has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States and Canada. Visitors from abroad and North America alike cannot seem to shake their desire to visit this dramatic aquatic spectacle. But why exactly? The falls are not particularly convenient to any major U.S. city (apologies to Buffalo), which means visitors to the US will need at least two days to fit in a visit to Niagara. Furthermore besides the actual falls themselves, there is little in the way of cultural or natural points of interest in the area. That is unless you consider a visit to ‘Ripley’s Believe it or Not’ to be a cultural experience. Finally, the climate in the Niagara region is rather daunting for much of the year. The area gets a lot of precipitation throughout the year and winter is definitely rugged in that region.
Get Wet: Take an Adventure Vacation to Niagara Falls (Niagara falls deals)
January 22, 2008 on 5:17 am | In Niagara Falls Coupons | No CommentsThis was one occasion that I was a reluctant traveler. I had seen this place in movies, History Channel specials and pictures in books, so I assumed there was nothing more for me to see.
Niagara falls vacations – Niagara Falls
January 21, 2008 on 9:33 am | In Niagara Falls History | No CommentsI grew up in Western New York State, just a few miles from Niagara Falls. Known sometimes as one of “The Seven Forgotten Natural Wonders of the World,” the falls are a magnificent sight to behold.
There was one place on the walkways in the park where you could stand directly over the falls, just inches away, and feel all that incredible energy in the huge thundering torrent of white water. It’s something you never forget.
Niagara falls ontario hotels – Niagara Falls Honeymoon
January 20, 2008 on 2:17 pm | In Niagara Falls Camping | No CommentsNiagara Falls is famous for its natural beauty as well as an important source of hydroelectric power. Horseshoe Falls, sometimes known as the Canadian Falls, the American Falls, and the smaller Bridal Veil Falls are the three separate waterfalls that make up the Falls. You can view the spectacular Niagara River by climbing over 400 steps of stairs to the top of the Historical Brock Monument. The atmosphere is just the perfect setting for a memorable romantic moment for couples.
